Overview
Google seeks a skilled Finance Analyst specializing in Devices and Services to join its APAC Finance team based in Singapore. The role demands strong analytical capabilities to guide strategic investment decisions and product developments using a data-driven approach. This position is central to scaling and expanding Google's Devices and Services business across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee first-party hardware operations across products in the region, driving efficiency enhancements through system improvements and AI-driven workflows while ensuring compliance with SOX and reporting standards.
- Manage daily operations including forecasting profit and loss elements through to net revenue, collaborating closely with global finance and regional stakeholders particularly in emerging markets.
- Create and maintain tools and data infrastructure to evaluate the impact of initiatives for diverse audiences including executive leadership.
- Work alongside country finance leads to facilitate smooth product launches, market expansions, and adjustments in pricing strategies.
- Boost operational efficiency by automating processes and standardizing tasks leveraging AI and machine learning technologies where feasible.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a quantitative discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 7 years' experience in financial planning and analysis, consulting, or similar roles, or an advanced degree in a related field.
- Proficient in programming, including SQL.
- Preferred experience includes data infrastructure development, designing architectures, building data pipelines, scalable monitoring, and reporting implementation.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing complex strategic and operational projects across various products, functions, and geographies.
- Strong business judgment in resource allocation to optimize outcomes in dynamic environments.
- Capability to analyze data, produce insightful financial analysis, and influence decisions based on quantitative evidence.
- Self-driven with the ability to take ownership, confidently engage at all organizational levels, and collaborate effectively as a team member.
