About the Role

Diesel-Tech Machinery, a proudly New Zealand owned company specializing in agricultural and rural machinery, is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician residing in Southland to join their expanding team. This role is unique in that it operates like a joint venture, designed for technicians who already have a customer base and aim to grow their own business alongside Diesel-Tech's support.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site servicing, maintenance, and repair of agricultural and rural machinery.
• Support Diesel-Tech's existing sales in Southland by attending to customer needs promptly.
• Manage breakdown responses efficiently to minimize downtime for clients.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with local customers and stakeholders.
• Self-manage daily workflow while collaborating with the larger Diesel-Tech team.
• Contribute actively to developing and scaling Diesel-Tech’s Southland operations.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience as a Field Service Technician, preferably in agriculture.
• Based in Southland regions such as Gore or Invercargill, or nearby.
• Possesses an established customer base or strong local connections.
• Highly self-driven and capable of working independently.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
• Customer-oriented with a practical, proactive approach.
• Motivated to build and grow a long-term business venture.
