Role overview
This opportunity is with a global provider of construction technology solutions. As business grows in Japan, the company is looking for a field sales professional to support the AECO segment, with a strong focus on architecture, engineering, and construction customers.
The position is centered on winning new customers and growing current accounts for CAD, BIM, CAM, and related construction SaaS products.
What you will do
- Create and carry out sales plans tailored to the Japan market.
- Win new accounts and deepen business with existing customers.
- Present CAD/BIM/CAM and construction software solutions to prospects.
- Run product demos, seminars, and client presentations.
- Develop lasting customer relationships and spot opportunities for upselling.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and deliver reliable forecasts.
- Work closely with internal marketing and technical teams.
- Support recurring revenue through renewals and maintenance contracts.
- Help address unlicensed software use and convert users to legitimate subscriptions.
- Share market intelligence and customer feedback with headquarters.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience selling software or IT solutions.
- Background in selling construction technology products such as CAD, BIM, or CAM is required.
- Strong evidence of success in generating new business.
- Good understanding of BIM and SaaS offerings.
- Strong verbal and written communication plus negotiation ability.
- Business-level Japanese is needed for external communication.
- Business-level English is preferred for internal communication.
