Role overview
This position involves overseeing security operations across assigned client locations in Bengaluru. The field officer will act as the on-ground coordinator for guard deployment, compliance, incident handling, and client communication.
Core responsibilities
- Make routine visits to allocated client sites and keep a close watch on day-to-day security functioning.
- Check that security guards are positioned correctly according to the duty schedule and site requirements.
- Carry out unannounced inspections, including night patrol checks, to verify discipline and compliance.
- Confirm that all guards arrive on time and are in proper uniform with valid identity cards.
- Arrange immediate substitutes whenever there is a shortage of manpower or an absence at site.
- Track attendance, leave entries, and deployment information accurately.
- Stay in touch with clients and respond quickly to operational issues or concerns.
- Look into incidents, gather details, and prepare clear incident reports for management.
- Provide basic training to security staff on standard operating procedures, emergency handling, fire safety, and customer service.
- Ensure that all registers, logbooks, and legally required records are updated and maintained properly.
- Review guard performance and enforce discipline at the site level.
- Share daily, weekly, and monthly operational updates with the management team.
- Follow company policies, client-specific instructions, and safety standards at all times.
- Represent the organization professionally during client meetings and site discussions.
Qualifications and experience
Candidates should have completed SSLC, PUC, or graduation. A background of 1 to 5 years in security services or facility management is required, along with experience in security supervision and manpower deployment. Retired personnel from the defence, police, or paramilitary forces are preferred, though this is not compulsory.
Skills needed
Strong leadership, clear communication, quick problem-solving, and a solid understanding of security procedures and emergency response are important for success in this role.
Performance expectations
The role is expected to support complete manpower deployment, fast replacement of absent staff, regular site inspections, and strong client satisfaction and retention.
Additional requirements
A valid two-wheeler driving licence is required, and the candidate must be willing to travel as part of the job.
Employment details
This is a full-time position based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. The monthly compensation is INR 35,000 to INR 40,000.
