About the Role
Lancashire County Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Time Worker to join their established Family Time Team in Burnley. This permanent full-time position involves a 37-hour workweek and offers a competitive salary ranging from A325,989 to A328,142 per year. This role does not offer international sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will support children and families by facilitating high-quality Family Time arrangements that encourage positive and meaningful interactions during periods of separation. Reporting to the Senior Family Support Worker - Neighbourhood, the role includes planning and delivering neighborhood-based supervised contact sessions between parents and children under various care provisions (e.g., Children Act Section 20, Interim Care Orders) during care proceedings.
The post holder will collaborate closely with allocated Social Workers and Senior Family Support Workers to schedule and facilitate Family Time in designated settings. They will supervise these sessions, carry out observations, conduct assessments, maintain detailed records using standardized procedures and IT systems, and contribute feedback for ongoing risk assessments and needed adjustments.
Additionally, Family Time Workers will establish and nurture positive, trusting relationships with both parents and children, ensuring effective communication and information sharing for seamless service delivery. They will also support the continuous development and improvement of early help services aligned with Lancashire's Children and Families Partnership Board vision.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, alongside the ability to operate both independently and within a team.
