About Silk Village Handloom
Silk Village Handloom is dedicated to preserving the traditional handloom heritage of India by promoting its rich textiles to international markets. The company is in the process of global expansion and seeks a skilled Export Business Development Executive to grow its overseas presence and establish the brand worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure international buyers such as distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and importers.
- Explore and develop export opportunities across regions including North America, Europe, Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
- Maintain long-lasting relationships with global clients to foster repeat business.
- Manage full export documentation and oversee transaction procedures.
- Coordinate shipment logistics, working closely with freight forwarders, customs officials, and shipping agents.
- Perform international market research and competitive analysis to guide business development.
- Represent the company at international fairs, exhibitions, and online buyer meetings.
- Lead negotiations and ensure successful closure of export deals.
- Collaborate with production teams to guarantee timely product delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Devise strategies to boost export revenue and enhance the company's international footprint.
Essential Qualifications
- Mandatory 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in export business or international trade environments.
- Demonstrated success in identifying and converting international customers.
- Comprehensive understanding of export documentation, Incoterms, shipping regulations, customs procedures, and international trade law.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
- Basic familiarity with handloom, weaving, textiles, or home furnishing product sectors.
- Capability to work autonomously and meet international sales goals.
Desirable Skills
- Existing network of overseas buyers highly advantageous.
- Experience in Business-to-Business (B2B) export sales.
- Knowledge of B2B platforms such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Alibaba, IndiaMART, TradeKey, or Global Sources.
- Proficiency in presentations and business development techniques.
- Readiness to undertake international travel when necessary.
