ETL Test Engineer - Manual / Automation (4 Positions) - Dubai

About the Role

A Gulf-based consulting client is seeking highly skilled ETL Test Engineers to join their team on a payroll basis. The roles are located in Dubai, focusing on Manual and Automation testing within the Business Intelligence (BI) domain, specifically involving Microsoft BI applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute detailed test cases, including source-to-target data validation using Excel or custom scripting.
• Manage ETL job executions, particularly using Microsoft SSIS and orchestration tools.
• Conduct various QA testing phases such as System Testing, Regression Testing, System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Batch Acceptance Testing (BAT), and testing in Pre-Production and Production environments.
• Support creation and maintenance of test documentation including BRDs, ADDs, JIRA tickets, and supplier documents.
• Coordinate and manage test execution activities and ensure effective defect logging, resolution, and re-testing.
• Collaborate with third parties to review their testing efforts and maintain strong stakeholder communication and engagement.

Requirements

• 3 to 8 years of overall IT experience with at least 2 years dedicated to ETL testing, preferably with Microsoft technologies.
• Proficiency in SQL and strong T-SQL skills for querying and data validation.
• Experience working with Microsoft SSIS, SSRS, Power BI, and BI domain tools.
• Familiarity with ETL tools such as Informatica (versions 7.x to 10), IBM Cognos, and ideally with Pentaho, IBM Datastage, or Dell Boomi.
• Knowledge of job scheduling tools like Air Flow, Job Scheduler, Control-M.
• Competency in using API testing tools like Swagger and Postman.
• Experience with defect tracking systems including JIRA, Microsoft TFS, Monday.com, and IBM Rational ClearQuest.
• Basic understanding of Unix environments and databases such as Oracle, DB2, Teradata, and Netezza.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with stakeholder management capabilities.

Compensation & Contract

• Monthly salary between AED 7,000 and AED 15,000 (full tax-free).
• Contract duration of 2 years.
• Immediate joining preferred.
