An established engineering and manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Estimator to become part of its manufacturing team in Leeds. In this specialist production setting, the role focuses on building precise and competitive cost estimates for bespoke engineering work, while guiding customers from their first enquiry through to the quotation stage.

What you'll be doing

• Creating detailed costings and quotations using drawings, technical specifications, and customer enquiries.
• Working closely with engineering, production, and commercial colleagues to shape reliable pricing.
• Obtaining supplier quotes and assessing them for suitability.
• Analysing technical details to find practical and cost-effective approaches.
• Keeping estimating documentation up to date and making sure quotations go out within the required timeframe.
• Helping transfer approved projects over to the manufacturing team.

What we're looking for

• Prior estimating experience in engineering, manufacturing, fabrication, or another related technical field.
• The ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong commercial judgement and a careful eye for accuracy.
• Confident communication and solid organisational ability.
