Role Overview
The Enterprise Business Development Representative (BDR) will focus on generating new business leads and initiating the sales cycle, laying the groundwork for the sales team. This involves strategic outbound prospecting, comprehensive account research, and supporting Enterprise sales efforts to build a robust sales pipeline that drives millions in new business annually.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively build new business pipeline through targeted and strategic outbound prospecting.
- Engage potential clients using personalized, multi-channel outreach including cold calls, emails, and professional social networks across new accounts within assigned territories.
- Collaborate closely with Account Executives to identify and qualify new opportunities employing multi-threaded engagement strategies.
- Conduct in-depth account research to tailor outreach approaches ensuring contact with the appropriate decision-makers at optimal times.
- Maintain high levels of CRM data integrity and timely updates related to managed accounts.
- Effectively balance time between managing assigned account books and responding to inbound or marketing-generated leads.
- Demonstrate clear understanding and concise communication of Checkr’s value proposition and solutions.
- Perform regular market research to identify and add new prospects to the CRM system.
- Handle multiple accounts simultaneously, prioritizing effectively.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 to 9 months experience in an outbound sales development role, preferably within the Enterprise space.
- Proficiency with Salesforce CRM.
- Quick learner with a proactive attitude towards challenging tasks.
- Collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
- Ability to self-manage and prioritize tasks efficiently in an unstructured environment.
- Adaptable to dynamic, fast-paced work settings with a willingness to embrace change.
Preferred Skills
- Proven success in outbound sales development within a SaaS company targeting enterprises with over 15,000 employees.
- Experience using sales enablement tools such as Outreach or Sales Navigator.
- Proven ability to craft effective outbound email campaigns that generate meetings.
- Track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in similar roles.
- Positive, action-oriented mindset characterized by resilience, ownership, and urgency.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range for Denver, CO is $82,000 to $97,000 annually. Compensation varies by geographic cost of labor and specific location.

Work Environment
Checkr values an in-office component to support teamwork and innovation.
