Role Overview

The Maples Group seeks a dynamic Employment Associate based in Dublin to join its expanding Employment team. The candidate will work alongside a senior associate, mid-level associate, and trainee in handling a broad array of complex, challenging employment-related matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing workplace investigations and issues related to protected disclosures, performance, discipline, exits, and severance
  • Handling litigation cases in WRC, Labour Court, and Circuit Court, including disputes involving boards, shareholders, and senior executives
  • Participating in mediations related to High Court and WRC cases
  • Supporting corporate transactions such as share and asset sales (including TUPE), vendor and buyer due diligence, and drafting transaction documentation
  • Providing advisory services on policies, handbooks, and employment contracts
  • Addressing Industrial Relations matters including WRC/Labour Court cases, senior executive contracts, and industrial actions
  • Handling corporate immigration matters
  • Advising on employee benefits including pensions and insured benefits

Candidate Profile

Applicants should have at least 1 year of post-qualification experience as an Employment Lawyer within a leading corporate or specialist employment law firm and have completed a traineeship seat in employment law. Candidates must exhibit strong academic credentials alongside excellent drafting and written communication capabilities. Collaborative skills and ability to build productive relationships within teams and with clients are essential.
