Job description
Role Overview
We are searching for an Employment Consultant specializing in supporting individuals facing challenges with drug and alcohol use, located in Hamilton, Newcastle NSW. This full-time permanent position involves providing tailored assistance to help participants overcome complex barriers and secure meaningful, sustainable employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of participants and offering personalized employment support.
- Guiding clients through CV preparation, job applications, interview coaching, and job search efforts.
- Identifying obstacles to employment and providing appropriate interventions.
- Establishing and maintaining productive relationships with local employers to connect candidates to suitable job opportunities.
- Offering continuous support to ensure long-term employment success.
- Keeping accurate participant records and ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in Employment Services, Community Services, Drug & Alcohol support, Mental Health, Recruitment, or Case Management.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building capabilities.
- Ability to work towards targets with strong organizational skills and resilience.
- A genuine passion for making a positive impact on people's lives.
