Role Overview
The Education Consultant / Learning & Development Specialist shapes and delivers learning strategies and professional development initiatives that improve both individual capability and overall organizational outcomes. The position focuses on building a culture of continuous learning by identifying training needs, creating impactful learning solutions, and assessing the effectiveness of educational programs.
Key Responsibilities
This role begins with assessing training needs, spotting skill or competency gaps, and recommending learning approaches that support business objectives. It includes designing learning assets such as instructional content, curricula, workshops, e-learning modules, assessments, and other resources that strengthen knowledge retention and practical application.
The specialist also organizes and leads training sessions, workshops, webinars, and similar learning events while observing participation and reviewing learning results. In addition, the role involves preparing training reports, monitoring learning metrics, and using feedback to refine programs and improve the learner experience.
Collaboration is a major part of the job, including working with business leaders, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to build customized learning solutions, onboarding journeys, leadership development programs, and career development frameworks. The role further supports the setup and administration of learning management systems and related digital learning tools.
Ongoing research into instructional design methods, adult learning theory, educational technology, and current industry practices is also expected to keep learning initiatives effective, engaging, and aligned with organizational goals.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a solid grasp of instructional design, adult learning principles, curriculum creation, training delivery, and learning evaluation methods, along with the ability to build engaging learning experiences for different audience groups.
Experience in developing training materials, presentations, e-learning content, and digital learning assets is important. Familiarity with learning management systems, virtual learning platforms, and other instructional technologies is a plus.
Strong analytical and organizational ability is needed to assess learning requirements, measure training impact, interpret learning data, and suggest improvements. Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills are essential for explaining complex ideas clearly and engaging participants in both online and face-to-face settings.
The role also requires strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills, including handling multiple learning initiatives, collaborating across teams, and meeting deadlines. Adaptability, creativity, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to ongoing learning are important for success in this collaborative and dynamic environment.
