About the Role
Join Woolworths Supermarkets New Zealand, a leading retailer with over 185 stores and 20,000 employees, committed to improving the daily lives of New Zealanders. The eCommerce Operations Specialist plays a key role in managing and optimizing assigned workflows within the online order fulfillment process, ensuring accuracy and quality, particularly in fresh food handling.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain process flow for designated workstreams, ensuring seamless and timely online order picking and quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with team leaders and actively lead a 'swarm' team to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
- Provide hands-on coaching, training, and supervision, stepping in as Acting Store Manager during assigned shifts.
- Identify operational issues promptly and escalate them to the Function Lead for resolution.
- Promote a safe and healthy workplace by observing safety protocols, reporting hazards, and prioritizing team wellbeing.
- Engage actively in team communication and cooperative initiatives to sustain a positive work culture.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
- Demonstrated excellence in process management and a strong commitment to continuous improvement and learning.
- Adept at forging and maintaining collaborative working relationships with various internal teams and stakeholders.
- Proven leadership capabilities including assigning tasks, monitoring progress, providing structured feedback, and motivating team members.
- Expertise in compliance standards relevant to the function, coupled with excellent communication skills to relay instructions and standards effectively.
- Consistently behaves in alignment with corporate values and ethics.
- Availability to work at least four weekend shifts monthly and a minimum of one evening shift per week.
Work Schedule
- Option 1 roster:
- Monday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Tuesday to Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Sunday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
