Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Amazon & eRetail, the Ecommerce Manager will manage and enhance OLAPLEX's Amazon Europe accounts, focusing on point of sale, wholesale strategies, and marketing programs. The position involves scaling the Amazon EU business across several countries including the UK, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain, with a focus on surpassing revenue, profitability, and velocity objectives through strategic planning and precise tactical execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Pan-European Amazon operations, addressing challenges related to cross-border trade, regulatory compliance, and marketplace specifics across multiple EU markets.
- Oversee daily activities in Amazon Vendor Central including catalog management, product variations, buy-box control, and handling operational chargebacks.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Operations teams to optimize inventory distribution across European territories to maintain adequate stock while reducing cross-border customs issues.
- Act as a liaison among Amazon EU managers, brand specialists, and internal stakeholders globally.
- Develop and achieve sales targets aligned with regional revenue goals and platform velocity metrics.
- Create, monitor, and adjust comprehensive sales and trade-spend forecasts, responding rapidly to changing market conditions, currencies, and pricing across Europe.
- Optimize product assortment tailored to the needs and preferences of each country’s marketplace.
- Maintain rigorous documentation of European and global agreements, joint business plans, terms, and allowances to ensure compliance and accountability.
- Support media teams and agency partners in designing and executing localized Amazon Ads campaigns including Sponsored Products, Brands, and Display formats.
- Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to ensure that brand messaging, A+ content, and Amazon Brand Stores are tailored and consistent with regional expectations.
- Provide regular analyses on sales data, retail media performance, and customer engagement to inform senior leadership decisions.
- Serve as the in-house expert on eRetail merchandising best practices with a focus on regional specifics, operational costs, and market feedback.
Candidate Profile
- A proactive and entrepreneurial self-starter with the agility to identify and capitalize on opportunities in a dynamic retail environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or related field.
- More than three years of relevant experience in eCommerce, with direct management experience on Amazon or similar marketplaces. Prior exposure to Amazon EU accounts is highly valued.
- Proven track record of increasing eCommerce revenue in an omnichannel retail framework.
- Strong analytical skills coupled with an ability to interpret data, assess consumer behavior, and derive actionable business strategies.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills, capable of influencing both internal teams and external global partners.
Compensation and Benefits
The role offers an annual base salary ranging between $100,000 and $115,000, along with eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience, expertise, certifications, and location.
