About the Role
Join Bright Horizons Cheshunt Day Nursery and Preschool as an Early Years Housekeeper in a charming Edwardian facility located near Theobalds Train Station. The nursery, rated 'Good' by Ofsted, caters to children aged between 3 months and 5 years, providing exceptional care and education.
Job Responsibilities
In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring the nursery environment remains spotless and safe for children, staff, and families. Key duties include maintaining high cleanliness and hygiene standards in children’s bathrooms and nappy change areas throughout the day, performing daily laundry tasks, and assisting with additional nursery duties such as supporting during mealtimes and cleaning equipment when needed.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in cleaning for domestic or commercial properties is essential.
- Must possess Food Safety certification (CIEH Level 2 or equivalent) by the first day of work.
- Strong understanding of COSHH regulations and general Health and Safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues, children, and parents.
Working Hours and Location
This is a full-time onsite position based in Cheshunt, Waltham Cross, with shifts typically running from 5 AM to 12 PM or similar hours, Monday to Friday, totaling between 30 and 40 hours per week.
