Role Overview
The organization is currently developing an elite international bullion and concentrate sourcing department. They are looking to appoint a seasoned commercial leader to design and steer global sourcing partnerships with gold producers (dore), precious-metal concentrate suppliers, licensed exporters, and national gold regulatory bodies, primarily in Africa and Latin America.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement the global dore bar sourcing strategy for the company.
- Forge direct connections with major gold producers, national gold entities, and authorized exporters.
- Lead negotiations on commercial conditions, pricing models, and long-term purchase agreements.
- Assemble and manage a global sourcing team.
- Formulate sourcing approaches tailored to multiple gold-producing nations.
- Guarantee adherence to responsible sourcing practices and internal compliance protocols.
- Serve as the company's representative at international forums and industry gatherings.
Candidate Profile
- Over 10 years of relevant experience in bullion or precious metal procurement, mining sectors, or commodity trading.
- Well-established global contacts within the gold industry.
- Track record of successful international contract negotiations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of dore sourcing, bullion valuation, and refining economics.
- Preferred experience operating in African and/or Latin American markets.
- Strong capacity for leadership and managing relationships.
- Availability to undertake significant international travel (40–60%).
