Role overview
Vestas is hiring a Dispatcher to join its global Capacity & Master Planning function, with the role focused on supporting offshore sites around the world from Berlin, Germany.
What you will do
- Review incoming service orders for technicians, prepare them for execution, and complete the technical approval after the work is finished.
- Plan, balance, and allocate tasks across the assigned territory so that the right people and resources are matched to the right work, including weather conditions and skill requirements.
- Work with supervisors to identify the resources needed for each service order, such as qualifications, materials, and tools.
- Group and optimise work orders to improve efficiency.
- Stay in regular contact with technicians, technical support teams, and customers on a daily basis.
- Contribute to ongoing improvement efforts by spotting opportunities to do things better and taking a long-term view of future planning.
What we are looking for
- Previous experience in technical planning or as a dispatcher, ideally in a technical setting.
- Strong general IT skills; experience with SAP is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of wind turbine generator (WTG) technology and interest in reading technical documentation.
- Fluency in both German and English.
- Clear communication skills, both spoken and written.
- Organised, practical, and solution-focused way of working.
- Ability to stay calm and think clearly in a fast-moving environment with changing workloads.
- Comfort working in a busy team where priorities shift and colleagues support one another, especially during seasonal peaks.
