Position Overview
The Director of Client Development & Growth is a senior leadership role based in Dublin. This full-time position focuses on spearheading new business initiatives, uncovering and leveraging growth opportunities, and cultivating enduring client partnerships. The role includes developing strategic client growth plans, overseeing key account management, and driving the commercial expansion of TAP Design Consultancy.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and maintain a robust sales pipeline within target industry sectors.
- Conduct outreach and initiate early-stage engagements with senior-level decision-makers.
- Strategically align potential business opportunities with the company's capabilities.
- Control TAP’s market positioning and visibility across relevant platforms.
- Lead content strategy and scheduling across marketing channels.
- Coordinate with internal teams to produce compelling case studies and messaging.
- Identify and activate partnerships, channels, and industry engagement methods, including expanding connections such as with Retail Excellence Ireland.
- Implement and manage pipeline tracking and reporting systems.
- Oversee CRM system selection, maintenance, and optimization, ensuring accurate forecasting and pipeline transparency.
- Deliver comprehensive weekly performance and activity reports.
- Drive revenue goals and contribute to overall growth strategies through proposal development and commercial deal structuring.
- Collaborate with design teams to scope projects and align on goals, deliverables, and budgets.
- Translate client requirements into clear strategic briefs.
- Work alongside Design Directors to tailor responses and ensure alignment between sold services and delivered outcomes.
- Support robust client relationship management and handover processes.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of five years in business roles focused on business development, client leadership, or commercial operations.
- Experience collaborating with creative teams in a business environment.
- Demonstrated success managing and growing significant client accounts.
- A track record of contributing to marketing communications and enhancing market positioning.
- Strong commercial acumen, organizational skills, and confidence operating at senior stakeholder levels.
