Job Overview
The Deputy Project Manager will assist the Project Manager in effectively planning, coordinating, and executing project tasks to ensure timely completion within budget and maintaining quality. This role involves fostering team communication, monitoring project progress, managing compliance with safety and quality standards, and supporting the achievement of project goals.
Key Duties
- Support planning, coordination, and execution of project activities ensuring alignment with scope and schedule.
- Track project milestones, detect risks or problems, and provide continuous status reports.
- Assist in resource allocation, prioritizing tasks, and managing team workloads.
- Keep accurate project documentation and reports throughout all phases.
- Ensure adherence to project specifications, quality benchmarks, and corporate policies.
- Promote effective communication and teamwork among stakeholders and project members.
- Aid in monitoring budgets and controlling costs to stay within authorized financial limits.
- Engage in project evaluations and suggest improvements for future projects.
- Contribute towards organizational objectives by demonstrating teamwork and accountability.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Have 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in project management or coordination roles.
- Understand project lifecycle processes, project management software/tools, budgeting, resource and risk management, stakeholder engagement, and compliance with quality and safety standards.
- PMP certification is an advantage.
