Job description
Position Overview and Responsibilities
This role involves overseeing daily operations within the Fine Jewellery (FJ) department at the boutique. The manager will coordinate closely with area managers to ensure optimal stock level usage and participate actively in developing the boutique's purchasing plan. They are required to guarantee that team members comply with established ordering and transfer procedures.
Support will be provided to the Division Manager in crafting the annual strategic plan and budgeting for the network. Daily sales will be monitored against monthly and yearly targets, with corrective actions implemented when necessary. The role includes collaborating with suppliers, contractors, logistics, and merchandising teams on store openings, closings, or renovations, while maintaining strong partnerships with suppliers and business associates.
Regular attendance at managers’ meetings is expected to evaluate store performance and relay relevant feedback to the Division Manager. The position demands ensuring exceptional customer service standards, managing and motivating the team, setting clear objectives and budgets for team members, and overseeing their coaching and training. The ability to understand and fulfill customer needs to exceed expectations is essential.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years in retail, with at least 2 years in a management role within luxury products, preferably fine jewellery.
- Proactive mindset with commercial creativity and keen fashion awareness.
- Comprehensive understanding of the luxury industry market.
- Self-driven with a demonstrated ability to take initiative.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and leadership qualities.
