The Role

Alpine Business Consulting is looking for a Data Analyst Intern to join the team on a full-time internship basis. In this role, you will support senior consultants with everyday tasks such as data cleaning, system review, and documentation. You will also help examine how information moves from the logistics partner’s operational systems into its financial reporting systems.

The position is entirely remote, so you can work from your own location while staying connected with the team through digital collaboration tools. What You Will Do

• Examine large datasets to spot mistakes, repeated entries, and inconsistencies.
• Support the creation and maintenance of a trusted data source by checking information as it passes between software systems.
• Prepare concise documentation and configuration references that clients can follow easily.
• Help build reporting dashboards that are useful for decision-makers across departments.
• Assist senior consultants with research on system changes and technical needs.
• Take part in project status discussions and track progress against fixed-price milestones.
• Confirm that final reports match the original source data through careful reconciliation.

What We Are Looking For

• A student or recent graduate in a discipline such as Data Science, Finance, Mathematics, or Business Analytics.
• Working knowledge of SQL, along with an interest in using it in a consulting environment.
• Strong Excel ability, including pivot tables and advanced formulas.
• A careful and analytical approach, with the ability to notice when numbers do not seem right.
• Good written communication skills, especially for creating documentation that is practical and easy to use.
• The ability to organise your own time effectively while working remotely.
• A willingness to follow established procedures and ask thoughtful questions when needed.
