Role Overview
This opportunity is offered through a partner company based in the United States that manages all applications and subsequent recruitment steps. The position as Data Analyst in Asset Management presents a chance to transform intricate data sets into actionable business insights that support strategic decisions across a national asset management portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze financial and operational datasets such as budget vs. actual performance, KPIs, cash flow forecasts, and portfolio trends to spot risks and opportunities.
- Create, maintain, and refine dashboards, reports, and analytic tools to assist portfolio management and strategic planning.
- Consolidate, cleanse, validate, and examine data from various systems to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- Support yearly operating and capital budget planning, reserve reimbursements, and capital funding processes.
- Conduct research and summarize market, leasing, demographic, financial, and property data to aid portfolio decision-making.
- Assist in financial modeling, scenario evaluations, due diligence, and documentation tasks linked to acquisitions, dispositions, refinancing, and recapitalizations.
- Produce portfolio analytics, financing profiles, maturity schedules, performance reports, and segmentation studies.
- Deliver recurring monthly, quarterly, yearly, and ad hoc reports to senior leadership, investors, lenders, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
- Support compliance reporting, watchlist summaries, special projects, and other analytical assignments as necessary.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to enhance processes, reporting quality, and overall organizational performance.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in fields such as real estate, finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or data analytics.
- Approximately three years of relevant professional experience, ideally in asset management, property management, affordable housing, real estate finance, or data analytics.
- Experience with affordable housing programs like HUD, LIHTC, Section 8, or PRAC is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with data visualization software like Power BI or Tableau.
- Knowledge of data manipulation tools including Power Query, pivot tables, macros/VBA, and SQL is favored.
- Ability to merge, clean, verify, and analyze multisource data sets effectively.
- Experience with platforms such as MRI, RealPage, or Yardi is preferred.
- Familiarity with financial modeling and analysis related to real estate transactions is beneficial.
- Strong analytical capability, problem-solving skill set, and effective communication skills.
- Capacity to work autonomously, handle multiple priorities, and collaborate with both internal teams and external partners.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel as required and adjust working hours when necessary.
