Cyber Security SOC Analyst II - Threat Detection & Response

Overview

Aaratech Inc. is looking for a Cyber Security SOC Analyst II to enhance its cybersecurity operations by monitoring, investigating, and responding to threats. This position supports incident response efforts and fortifies overall security defenses.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and analyze security alerts utilizing EDR tools such as CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, or Microsoft Defender.
• Detect potential threats by examining phishing attempts, malware incidents, and unusual network behavior.
• Conduct incident triage, investigation, containment, and escalate as necessary.
• Employ SIEM platforms, Wireshark, and Active Directory management tools to aid in security investigations.
• Record incident details and align findings with the MITRE ATT&CK framework for structured analysis.
• Work alongside IT and security departments to enhance threat detection and incident response strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Up to two years of experience in IT Help Desk, Desktop Support, SOC operations, cybersecurity, or incident response.
• Proficiency with EDR solutions, SIEM tools, and reviewing security logs.
• Strong grounding in networking concepts, Active Directory, Windows security, and incident handling procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Microsoft Defender, Splunk, QRadar, or Microsoft Sentinel platforms.
• Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Basic scripting knowledge in PowerShell or Python.
• Certifications such as CSA, CompTIA Security+, CySA+, GCIH, or vendor-specific EDR credentials are advantageous.

Additional Information

• Annual salary range: $65,000 to $75,000.
