Customer Delivery Driver - Cheltenham Superstore

Overview

As the primary representative of Tesco while on the road, Customer Delivery Drivers interact directly with customers in their homes daily. This position involves much more than just driving; it is committed to assisting customers and providing exceptional service with a cheerful attitude. It is a hands-on role with diverse tasks and shifts that vary, where you predominantly work autonomously yet have the support of on-site managers and teammates.

Working Hours

• Sunday: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Monday: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Tuesday: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of your delivery van, trays, and work area to ensure every delivery meets high standards.
• Load the van safely and conduct all necessary checks to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and reliable for delivery duties.
• Communicate courteously with customers regarding any order modifications, substitutions, or approaching expiration dates, providing refunds when appropriate to ensure a smooth experience.
• Handle all products carefully, treating every order with personal care to uphold quality and customer trust.
• Deliver orders within designated time slots, offering friendly and genuine service at the doorstep to leave customers feeling appreciated and well cared for.

Candidate Requirements

• Foster strong, positive relationships with colleagues to promote teamwork and optimize customer service.
• Exhibit warmth and approachability with both customers and fellow employees.
• Adapt quickly to changing customer needs and embrace changes encountered during driving and store operations.
• Possess a valid UK, EU, or EEA driving license (full or automatic) held for at least 12 months, with no more than three penalty points.
