Job Overview

We seek energetic, customer-focused individuals who enjoy daily learning to join us as Customer Assistants. This role offers a standard 30-hour contract with a salary starting at €460+ per week.

Work Schedule and Duties

A Customer Assistant's day can vary, but typically involves working across morning, middle, or late shifts, each with distinct responsibilities:

• Morning shifts begin between 5 or 6 AM, focusing on stocking shelves with award-winning products and preparing bakery items to welcome customers.
• Middle shifts start mid-morning or early afternoon, concentrating on maintaining store cleanliness, product freshness, supporting customers on the shop floor, and operating tills efficiently.
• Late shifts, commencing in the afternoon, emphasize providing excellent till service, replenishing stock, and preparing the store for the following day.

Core Responsibilities

• Engage customers with friendly, helpful service.
• Comply with stock loss prevention procedures throughout the store.
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards internally and externally.
• Apply freshness and stock rotation principles rigorously.
• Manage waste disposal appropriately.
• Assist in inventory stock counts when required.

Lidl offers a transparent and competitive pay scale ensuring equal pay across similar positions, including the following hourly rates and benefits:

• Starting wage: €15.40 per hour, increasing to €17.90 per hour after three years of service.
• Additional pay rates for unsocial hours (12 AM to 7 AM), overtime, Sundays, and bank holidays.

Hourly Pay Scale Details

• Year 1: €15.40 basic, €19.25 unsocial hours, €23.10 overtime/Sundays, €30.80 bank holidays
• Year 2: €16.20 basic, €20.25 unsocial hours, €24.30 overtime/Sundays, €32.40 bank holidays
• Year 3: €16.90 basic, €21.13 unsocial hours, €25.35 overtime/Sundays, €33.80 bank holidays
• Year 4: €17.90 basic, €22.38 unsocial hours, €26.85 overtime/Sundays, €35.80 bank holidays
