About the Role

Join a pioneering educational initiative that condenses a full day's academic achievements into just two highly focused hours, freeing afternoons for creative pursuits like podcasting, murals, and gymnastics. As a Curriculum Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in refining and advancing this innovative 2-Hour Learning system.

Working remotely from any location with stable internet, you will transform large datasets of AI-derived academic performance metrics into tailored, timely interventions to help each student achieve 90% mastery or above. Your role includes delivering live coaching sessions to address challenges in real-time, revitalize student momentum, and build confidence.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate Academic Data Reports and conduct thorough analyses to identify issues, flag anomalies, and initiate corrective measures promptly, ideally within 48 hours.
• Provide quick-response coaching sessions and follow-up assessments to remove learning obstacles, differentiate between knowledge gaps and simple errors, and maintain high student motivation.
• Evaluate and implement new educational tools and content, while experimenting with AI and large language model (LLM) technologies aimed at accelerating learning and tackling specific challenges.
• Collaborate with organizational leaders to enhance educational tools, dashboards, and mastery criteria as the AI tutoring system evolves.

Excluded Duties

• No lengthy meetings or creation of generic, non-impactful presentations.
• No traditional grading, lesson planning, or administration of conventional educational curricula; the foundation here is AI and innovation.
• Active hands-on involvement without solely strategic tasks or monotonous routines.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in data science, education technology, educational support roles, or related fields combining analysis and interpersonal communication.
• Proficiency with Google Sheets, including lookups, pivot tables, and filtering functions.
• High emotional intelligence with excellent communication skills and a coaching mindset appropriate for children.
• Experience creating workflows and automations utilizing AI platforms.
• At least one year of direct experience working with students in grades K-8.
• Ability to work core hours from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM Central Time, Monday through Friday.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background or education in learning science, educational theories, or proven records in enhancing educational outcomes through data-driven techniques.
• Familiarity with Generative AI, prompt engineering, and basic programming skills such as Python or JavaScript for AI API interactions.

Compensation and Employment Details

This is a full-time remote role requiring a 40-hour workweek with an immediate start. The employment arrangement is as an independent contractor under Crossover, with compensation at $30 USD per hour, equating to $60,000 USD annually (assuming 50 working weeks). Payments are disbursed weekly.
