Role Summary
In this role, you will be the first person customers meet in the store and will help set a positive, engaging tone around Fluent products. You will act as a sales-focused customer guide, using your knowledge to help patients understand product options and choose items that fit their doctor’s recommendation and individual needs. The goal is to turn visitors into repeat customers through helpful service and effective selling.
Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service while helping the team meet or exceed sales targets.
- Contribute to growth in personal, team, and store-level sales over time.
- Create strong customer experiences through active, in-person interaction.
- Use available tools and information to understand customer needs and health-related requirements.
- Refer unresolved problems to the right supervisor or manager.
- Support delivery activities in the role of a Health Educator.
- Complete inventory checks and prepare sales reports.
- Keep records of customer interactions and any follow-up actions taken.
- Track and follow up on customer concerns that need additional research.
- Stay well-informed on the product guide and the benefits of medical cannabis.
- Coordinate status updates with the Director of Retail Operations, General Manager, and/or Customer Service Manager when needed.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of sales experience is required.
- Prior customer service experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at once without losing focus.
- Strong organization, initiative, communication, problem-solving, discretion, confidentiality, and time management skills.
- Comfort with frequent face-to-face, phone, and email interaction.
- Ability to work well with others and contribute to a team-oriented service environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and take a proactive approach to work.
- Solid sales ability.
- Must be at least 21 years old as required by state law.
- Must successfully pass a comprehensive background check.
- Must be able to pass a drug screening.
- All applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and provide proof of eligibility.
- This role involves long working hours and frequent weekend shifts.
- Regular and reliable attendance is essential.
Work Environment
This position is based in a professional office setting and regularly uses standard office tools such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines, and iPads or similar devices.
Physical Demands
The role requires regular speaking and listening, extended periods standing at a workstation, walking, and using hands and arms for handling items or controls. It also involves reading, reviewing, analyzing information, and preparing patient recommendations and summaries on a computer or tablet for long stretches. The employee must be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally and may occasionally need to lift or move moderate weight, generally under 25 pounds.
