About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to support secondary schools in Cambridge by leading classrooms during teacher absences. This position offers full-time, term-time work with flexible scheduling and guarantees no lesson planning or marking duties, providing an optimal work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement pre-prepared lesson plans for Key Stages 3 and 4 across diverse subjects to keep students engaged and focused.
- Maintain a calm, productive, and safe learning environment through effective classroom management.
- Communicate efficiently with teaching staff by providing clear feedback on student behaviour and progress during cover lessons.
- Uphold the school’s values and safeguarding policies consistently as a professional role model.
Candidate Profile
- Confident leadership skills enabling you to manage groups of up to 30 students effectively.
- Adaptable attitude capable of transitioning smoothly between different subject areas and classroom settings.
- Resilient and composed in handling challenges with a positive outlook.
- Committed to safeguarding standards, holding or willing to obtain an enhanced DBS check.
