About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Core 3D Visualisation Engineer to develop high-performance 3D visualization solutions tailored for engineering and scientific data. You will focus on rendering efficiency, managing vast datasets, and advanced analytical visualization features across desktop and web platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement robust 3D visualization systems to handle large-scale engineering datasets including sensor data.
- Develop and refine rendering pipelines utilizing OpenGL, WebGL, or similar graphics APIs.
- Convert raw MFL data into intuitive visuals such as surface and pipe renderings, highlighting defects through heatmaps and overlays, spatial transformations, camera manipulation, and interactive navigation including zoom, pan, rotate, and object selection.
- Optimize rendering processes for extremely large datasets (megabytes to gigabytes scale) ensuring smooth user interaction.
- Utilize GPU-based rendering techniques using shaders like GLSL and introduce optimizations such as Level of Detail (LOD), batching, and efficient management of rendering buffers.
- Integrate both structured and unstructured engineering data into visualization workflows, supporting real-time or near-real-time data updates and analytical visualization tasks such as anomaly detection and comparative analysis.
- Ensure cross-platform adaptability by implementing solutions for desktop (C++ based) and web environments (JavaScript/WebGL based), making architectural decisions that facilitate portability and extensibility.
- Collaborate closely with domain experts, architects, and product teams to translate MFL inspection requirements into impactful visual outputs and drive scalable and maintainable visualization architecture.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in 3D visualization development.
- Strong understanding of graphics fundamentals including rendering pipelines and GPU concepts.
- Proven ability to manage data-intensive and performance-critical visualization projects.
- Expertise in at least one major implementation technology stack such as C++ with OpenGL or JavaScript with WebGL.
