About the Team
Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Operational Excellence, the Continuous Improvement Analyst will contribute to the successful execution of continuous improvement projects across distribution center operations. This includes identifying opportunities, analyzing data, designing solutions, implementing changes, and managing processes. As an integral member of the Operational Excellence (OpEx) team, the analyst will work to enhance operational quality, boost efficiency, reduce waste, and ultimately deliver exceptional value to customers by gaining thorough insights into processes, data, and technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Advance the Operational Excellence strategy focused on consistently enhancing quality, efficiency, and team engagement.
- Comprehend and convey intricate processes effectively to various stakeholders.
- Take accountability for key warehouse and production workflows by standardizing and fostering continuous improvement.
- Serve as an advocate for site operations, collaborating closely with both on-site and office stakeholders.
- Utilize extensive internal data sets to inform decisions, identify measurable improvement opportunities, and prioritize initiatives that improve cost and quality.
- Assist with root cause analysis and failure mode and effects analysis to identify risks and prevent recurring challenges related to product quality, picking accuracy, efficiency metrics, and waste management.
- Support formulation and communication of change management plans to key stakeholders to mitigate risks and ensure smooth adoption of operational changes.
- Develop standard operating procedures, detailed work instructions, and visual management tools to support operational consistency.
- Monitor and report progress on projects through the OpEx Roadmap.
- Adhere to safety protocols including the use of personal protective equipment and promptly report workplace hazards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or a related discipline.
- Minimum two years of experience in operations management or a comparable role.
- Strong inquisitiveness about understanding system and process mechanics with a drive to improve them.
- Proactive, ambitious disposition with ownership mentality and capability to think beyond assigned tasks.
- Effective communicator with influence skills to obtain stakeholder buy-in from concept through execution.
- Analytical skills with proficiency in quantitative methods and tools such as G-Suite, Excel, and data visualization platforms.
- Familiarity or experience with AI technology tools is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel up to 15% across Canada.
- Knowledge or keen interest in root cause analysis methods including 5 Whys, Fault Tree Analysis, and 6W2H.
- Understanding of Lean principles and Business Process Mapping techniques.
- Basic coding ability or experience with data visualization tools such as SQL and Tableau is a plus; eagerness to learn such skills is acceptable.
Working Conditions and Additional Information

- Annual salary range between $58,000 and $68,000 CAD.
