Role Overview
This hybrid remote role based in the US requires a Content Strategist/Creator who will collaborate with Consensus and its partners to craft meaningful content for various communication campaigns. The position involves both strategy development and practical content creation, including producing portfolio-demonstrated materials, managing social media platforms, and overseeing paid promotional efforts. This role works closely with creative, program management, and research teams to strategize, produce, and oversee engaging digital content.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a detailed content strategy aligned with campaign objectives.
- Create and publish engaging content involving writing, visuals, and short videos tailored to campaign needs.
- Organize and maintain a comprehensive content calendar across platforms like Instagram (primary), TikTok, YouTube (focusing on Shorts), Facebook, and others, adapting content accordingly.
- Handle daily social media operations including scheduling posts, community interaction, and engagement.
- Discover relevant trends, viral topics, and audience insights to generate timely and pertinent content.
- Set up, manage, and optimize paid social media advertising campaigns on Meta, TikTok, YouTube with strategic audience targeting and budget management.
- Track and analyze metrics to enhance the effectiveness of content and campaigns continuously.
- Coordinate with leaders and teams in Creative and Production to ensure content quality and consistency with strategic goals.
- Maintain uniform brand voice and messaging throughout all social channels.
- Collaborate with Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) and research teams to assess campaign progress and refine content strategies dynamically.
- Lead efforts in community engagement and manage partnerships with other pages or accounts.
Qualifications and Skills
- Documented experience in content strategy, production, and digital marketing disciplines.
- Practical skills in managing paid social advertising campaigns.
- Strong capabilities in writing, editing, and storytelling; applications must specify familiarity with tools like Canva, Premiere Pro, CapCut, or equivalents.
- Proven track record managing social media platforms and producing measurable audience growth.
- Ability to interpret performance data and translate insights into effective action plans.
- Excellent organizational skills with capacity to coordinate multiple content productions and meet deadlines.
- Comprehensive understanding of digital media environments, consumption behaviors, and sociopolitical factors.
- Creative and strategic thought leadership supported by a robust content strategy portfolio.
- High emotional intelligence and cultural awareness to navigate sensitive political and social contexts empathetically and objectively.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced environment requiring balance between quick responses and maintaining brand safety and ethics.
