Position Overview
This role serves as a Clinical Research Coordinator within the Pulmonology Division at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. The incumbent supports clinical research focusing on Cystic Fibrosis and Asthma, assisting in the operation and successful completion of multiple studies. The position reports directly to the Clinical Research Manager, aiding the expansion of the CF research portfolio and division projects.

- Salary Range: $66,300 - $68,000, determined by factors such as qualifications, experience, education, and training
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Principal Investigators, treating physicians, and research nurses to verify participant eligibility according to protocol criteria.
- Coordinate study recruitment efforts in person and via telephone.
- Perform protocol-specific consent processes for study participants.
- Collect, process, store, and ship specimens following research protocols.
- Prepare for and conduct study visits, including family counseling activities.
- Maintain research data with emphasis on accuracy, integrity, and regulatory compliance.
- Manage clinic and office supply accountability.
- Develop and implement customized onboarding plans detailing activities, goals, and timelines.
- Act as a liaison for community outreach initiatives.
- Complete regulatory requirements such as IRB submissions and maintaining regulatory documentation and prepare for site visits.
- Apply Quality Improvement standards to encourage best practices among care teams.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Principal Investigators, study clinicians, or the study manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and education required.
- Preferred: Fluency in both English and Spanish is advantageous.
