Job description
Role Overview
Amey is excited to present an opportunity for an on-site Cleaner position at HMP Werrington, located in England. The role involves maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within a secure prison environment, supporting His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) by ensuring safe, clean, and efficient facilities. This position works 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with an annual salary of £27,426.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver cleaning services in line with contract specifications to maintain high standards.
- Manage stock levels and place orders for required cleaning consumables.
- Operate cleaning machinery safely following established training and safety protocols.
- Consistently provide excellent service to facility users to ensure their satisfaction.
- Support local and corporate zero carbon initiatives strategically and efficiently when applicable.
- Ensure health and safety requirements are met across the cleaning contract.
Candidate Requirements
- Comfortable and able to work within a prison setting.
- Dependable, punctual, and flexible team player.
- Successful candidates will need to obtain prison security clearance; support in this process will be provided by Amey.
