Chief Operating Officer

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Chief Operating Officer (COO) to spearhead daily operations, enhance internal efficiencies, and drive sustainable business growth for our financial services organization based in San Francisco, CA. The COO will collaborate closely with the CEO and executive leadership to guarantee robust operational execution, promote seamless interdepartmental cooperation, and support strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the execution of daily business activities and overall company operations.
• Supervise key departments including operations, finance, compliance, technology, human resources, and business support.
• Enhance processes, systems, and standard operating procedures to boost operational effectiveness.
• Contribute to business scaling, strategic development, and market expansion initiatives.
• Establish and maintain solid governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
• Lead senior management teams, fostering improved cross-functional collaboration.
• Track and analyze performance indicators, budgets, and operational outcomes.
• Deliver regular updates on operational performance to the CEO and Board of Directors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 20 years’ experience in management or executive leadership roles.
• Preferred experience within financial services, fintech, banking, investment, digital assets, technology, or similar industries.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and oversee complex operations effectively.
• Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and execution capabilities.
• Expertise in operations management, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and business growth.
• Proficiency in optimizing organizational structure and operational processes.

Preferred Experience

• Past roles such as COO, President of Operations, Managing Director, Vice President of Operations, or senior operational leadership positions.
• Experience with scaling businesses, refining operational infrastructure, and penetrating new markets.
• Background in international business or fintech sectors is advantageous.
