Position Overview
We are looking for a dynamic Chief of Staff to collaborate directly with the Founder & CEO of a vibrant entertainment and media company based in West Hollywood, CA. This pivotal leadership role demands an individual with prior Chief of Staff experience and deep expertise in strategic and operational functions specifically within the entertainment or media sectors. The role requires local candidates who are prepared to adopt a 24/7 ownership attitude, with responsiveness extending beyond regular business hours depending on business demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive critical strategic initiatives and manage complex projects that span multiple departments, anticipating challenges and proposing sophisticated solutions.
- Translate and operationalize the CEO’s strategic vision into clear, actionable objectives for various teams including executives, creatives, operations, and partners.
- Distill intricate or specialized data into succinct recommendations suited for executive decision-making.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure alignment on priorities, timelines, and objectives while proactively facilitating smooth execution by removing obstacles.
- Exercise independent decision-making to prioritize competing requests and streamline CEO’s workload.
- Prepare the CEO for key meetings by managing agendas, conducting research, and compiling briefing material and follow-ups.
- Participate in leadership, planning, and external meetings, capturing decisions and promoting accountability.
- Craft high-level executive communications, presentations, speeches, and internal announcements.
- Foster trustworthy relationships with internal leaders, investors, agencies, advisors, and other key stakeholders.
- Enhance interdepartmental communication and collaboration, promoting seamless continuity across projects.
- Assist in company-wide planning efforts including annual and quarterly objectives and strategic initiatives.
- Provide strategic direction and dotted-line supervision to the Senior Executive Assistant and executive support staff.
- Coordinate activities involving the CEO’s spouse, Family Office, Business Manager, legal counsel, and other trusted advisors on select matters.
- Develop and implement systems and workflows that boost organizational effectiveness and accountability.
- Manage ad hoc projects and shifting priorities as needed.
Candidate Profile
- At least six years’ relevant experience in Chief of Staff roles, strategic operations, consulting, or senior project leadership.
- Strong background within entertainment or media sectors, ideally supporting senior leadership such as Founders, CEOs, or creative executives.
- Proven ability leading multi-stakeholder, cross-functional initiatives successfully.
- Excellent strategic thinking and analytical capabilities to synthesize diverse information and align it with business goals.
- Top-tier written and oral communication skills, reinforced by executive presence, emotional intelligence, and prudent judgment.
- Demonstrated influence without formal authority and adeptness at managing complex organizational interactions.
- Highly organized, proactive, resourceful, adaptable, and capable of multitasking under competing demands.
- Absolute discretion when entrusted with confidential business and personal information.
- Hands-on and collaborative mindset with a belief that no task is too small.
Additional Details
- Working hours are Monday through Friday during regular business hours with flexibility as required by business priorities.
- Remuneration can reach up to $225,000 annually depending on experience, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package.
