Position Overview

The Chief Investor Relations Officer (CIRO) acts as the key intermediary between Gamezon Space Corporation and its shareholders, investors, financial institutions, regulators, and the larger investment ecosystem. This executive leadership role focuses on creating and implementing comprehensive investor relations strategies to boost investor confidence, aid fundraising efforts, enhance shareholder engagement, and effectively communicate the company’s financial health, growth plans, and investment prospects. As an employee shareholder, the CIRO also aligns leadership responsibilities with shareholder interests to support the company's long-term capital growth.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Formulate and deploy a robust investor relations strategy to attract and retain investors.
• Foster and sustain relationships with institutional, private, and strategic investors.
• Position the company as a premier investment choice in the e-commerce and tech sectors.
• Facilitate capital raising activities and investment campaigns.
• Serve as the main contact for shareholders and investors, managing all communications including newsletters, briefings, and meetings.
• Coordinate shareholder meetings and address investor inquiries promptly.
• Support equity and venture capital funding, manage due diligence processes, and develop compelling investor presentations.
• Collaborate with CEO and CFO to disclose financial results accurately and timely.
• Oversee shareholder registration, share transfer processes, and relations programs, ensuring corporate governance standards and regulatory compliance.
• Analyze market trends, competition, and investor feedback to provide insights that enhance shareholder value.
• Establish strategic alliances with investment firms, venture capital, private equity funds, and other financial institutions to support the firm’s global growth initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Investment Management, Corporate Communications, or related fields.
• Master’s degree or MBA is desirable.
• Professional finance, investment, or governance certifications are a plus.
• 10 to 12 years of relevant senior-level experience in investor relations, finance, investment management, or corporate communications.
• Experience in technology, e-commerce, fintech, or multinational corporations preferred.

Authority and Decision-Making

The CIRO is empowered to represent the company in shareholder matters, coordinate investor communications, propose fundraising strategies, lead shareholder engagement, and advise executive leadership on investor sentiments and market prospects.

Equity Participation

To align interests between key management and shareholders, the CIRO must hold Company ordinary shares valued at the greater of either one times the director’s annual cash retainer (USD 50,000 or Ksh 6,640,000) or 50,000 shares. The maximum allocation is capped at 3.5% of the total Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) pool of 7,000,000 shares. Each share has a nominal value of USD 0.774 or Ksh 100.00.

Work Environment & Benefits

The CIRO operates primarily at the company’s main office in Nairobi, with a flexible hybrid work model. Occasional extended hours may be required for key meetings or urgent issues.
