Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

About the Role

The board of trustees for tastelifeUK, a charity supporting individuals affected by eating disorders, is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to guide the organization through its upcoming period of growth and enhancement. For over a decade, tastelifeUK has offered hope, recovery programs, preventative resources, and educational materials for eating disorder sufferers. The demand for these services is growing, creating an opportune moment for impactful leadership that can unify supporter communities, diversify funding sources, and leverage strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

The CEO will lead and inspire a dedicated team of staff and a network of volunteers within the UK and internationally, developing their skills and commitment. They will manage operational aspects, maintain strong relationships, and represent the charity in collaboration with health, educational institutions, campaign groups, and research entities. Efficiently working across both secular and spiritual environments, the CEO will broaden the charity's influence especially through government advocacy.

Candidate Profile

The ideal applicant will possess strong leadership capabilities, a passion for mental health, and a personal living faith. Exceptional communication and networking skills are essential to expand connections across health and education sectors. The role requires flexibility to work remotely and attend face-to-face meetings with staff and volunteers, including some evening and weekend commitments.

Additional Information

• Working hours: Between 0.8 to 1 full-time equivalent (FTE)
• Salary range: £45,000 to £50,000 pro rata, based on experience
• Work Location: Hybrid model combining home-based work with gatherings at various UK locations
