Job Overview

We are recruiting for a reputed IT and consulting firm in India for the position of Capital Market Post Trade Operations Specialist based in Chennai. This role involves overseeing critical post-execution trade processes that ensure the accurate transfer of cash and ownership, thus safeguarding the integrity of financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all stages of the trade confirmation life cycle including drafting, validation, matching, and finalization of trade confirmations.
• Create and dispatch outbound confirmations, as well as confirm and reconcile inbound confirmations with trade records and internal data.
• Handle post-trade activities related to FX, Money Markets, Derivatives, Equities, and Bonds efficiently.
• Analyze and implement incoming information from business units about security attributes, trading guidelines, and compliance demands.
• Execute operations involving new security setup and maintenance, including updates within security master data.
• Accurately process security characteristics, trading rules, and ensure system data integrity.
• Support Corporate Actions handling to ensure prompt and accurate security information updates.
• Authorize and process Securities Settlement Instructions to facilitate on-time securities settlements.
• Investigate and resolve exceptions across confirmations, settlements, security data, and operational processes while complying with SLA requirements.
• Communicate clearly and precisely about security and post-trade operations to both internal teams and external partners.
• Conduct quality checks and peer reviews on daily tasks to maintain high standards and procedural compliance.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders including business units, clients, brokers, and counterparties to troubleshoot trade and security-related challenges.
• Monitor daily operations, identify causes of discrepancies, and escalate unresolved matters through appropriate channels.
• Provide operational backup and support across functions ensuring adherence to internal controls and regulatory frameworks.

Requirements

• A minimum of five years of professional experience in Post Trade Operations within capital markets.
• Proficiency in managing trade confirmation and matching processes.
• Hands-on experience with Securities Settlement and Settlement Instructions (SSI).
• Expertise in drafting and validating trade confirmations.
• Practical knowledge of FX, Money Markets, and Derivatives operations.
• Hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
