Role overview

This internal opportunity is for a receptionist and administrator to support the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) teams, including the CAMHS Clinical Information Hub (CCIH). The post is based in Caerleon, Wales and sits within Aneurin Bevan University Health Board.

What you will do

You will help provide front-of-house and administrative support across several multidisciplinary CAMHS teams. Typical work will include handling referrals on the WCCIS system, arranging appointments, entering data accurately, managing general enquiries from families, professionals and colleagues, and directing people to the right service or contact where needed.

The role also covers wider administrative support as required, including use of the CAMHS switchboard/Clinical Information Hub and other ad hoc tasks that help the service run smoothly.

Employment and applicant notes

This vacancy is open only to staff currently employed by Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. The employer encourages applications from people with protected characteristics, including disabled and neurodiverse candidates and members of the Armed Forces Community. Welsh-language applications are welcomed and will not be treated less favourably than English-language applications.

Reasonable adjustments can be discussed directly with the recruiting manager shown in the advert. Applicants do not need to share personal or medical details to request support; they only need to explain what would help them take part fully in the process. If you need documents in a larger font, braille, or another format, you can contact the recruiting manager or the recruitment team on 01495 745805 option 3 or by email at abb.vacancyrequests@wales.nhs.uk.

If shortlisted, you will be contacted through the email address used in your application, so this inbox should be checked regularly. Successful candidates will receive the conditional offer and information pack by email. The employer may close the vacancy early, and it can also be withdrawn if filled through internal redeployment.

The organisation supports flexible working. Its sites are smoke-free by law, so smoking is not allowed anywhere on Health Board premises for staff, contractors, patients, or visitors. Support for quitting smoking is available through the Help Me Quit Team. The Band 3 salary scale has been adjusted in line with the NHS Agenda for Change pay award for 2026/2027, with implementation planned for August 2026 and backdating to 01 April 2026 where applicable.
