Role Overview
This position is for an experienced Business Intelligence Manager specializing in Product Analytics within the United States. The manager will significantly influence how product teams evaluate success, comprehend user behaviors, and drive decisions based on data insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead creation, enhancement, and maintenance of BI dashboards, reports, and analytical tools that illuminate essential KPIs and operational trends.
- Develop strategic product measurement methods including success metrics, adoption signals, customer engagement factors, and performance standards.
- Convert stakeholder requirements into precise analytical plans, data definitions, and insightful, actionable reports.
- Construct and support semantic layers, data models, and queries enabling self-service analytics and dependable reporting for diverse teams.
- Perform deep analysis on complex data to uncover trends, performance influencers, opportunities, and improvement areas.
- Collaborate with product, operations, finance, engineering, and other stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making based on data.
- Ensure quality of BI assets, resolve data discrepancies, and work closely with technical teams to enhance data accuracy and dependability.
- Champion BI best practices including development of reusable reporting templates, standardized metrics, and scalable analytics processes.
- Guide and educate business users on understanding dashboards, leveraging self-service analytics tools, and applying insights effectively.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or related field.
- Minimum of five years' professional experience in business intelligence, data analytics, product analytics, or a similar role.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and managing dashboards, data reports, and data models supportive of cross-team collaboration.
- Proficient use of modern BI and data visualization platforms.
- Strong command of SQL or equivalent querying languages; experienced in handling structured datasets and integrating multiple data sources.
- Proficient in defining metrics, measurement frameworks, and success criteria relevant to products, platforms, or operational business activities.
- Excellent analytical capabilities, including pattern recognition, issue investigation, and translating results into actionable recommendations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, capable of persuading through data-driven storytelling.
- Self-motivated with the capacity to manage various priorities independently in a remote work set-up.
- Keen attention to detail with a firm dedication to data accuracy, consistency, and quality.
- Experience interacting with technology, product management, marketplace, or operations teams is an added advantage.
