About the Role

The Business Intelligence Analyst II is pivotal in converting data into actionable insights that enhance commercial performance and guide strategic decisions. This position involves close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Business Unit leaders to deliver data-driven recommendations that impact organizational outcomes. The ideal candidate expertly combines strong analytical capabilities with business understanding, translating complex datasets into valuable advice for various stakeholders. Proficiency with enterprise data systems, reporting development, and modern analytics tools is crucial.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and improve Power BI dashboards, reports, and visual displays.
• Develop scalable reporting frameworks that reveal critical business metrics clearly.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and business definition alignment in all reports.
• Assist in regular business reviews and executive reporting cycles.
• Perform both routine and strategic analyses to uncover trends, opportunities, and business risks.
• Analyze diverse datasets including sales, marketing, customer, product, and market information to aid decision-making.
• Transform business inquiries into analytical models and actionable insights.
• Communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to determine analytics requirements.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Business Unit leads to gather and translate business needs into relevant reports and analyses.
• Act as a trusted advisor by providing recommendations based on data insights.
• Compose and refine SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and analysis.
• Partner with data engineering teams and enterprise platforms to support reporting demands.
• Identify enhancements for data quality, reporting processes, and analytic methods.
• Contribute to establishing reporting standards, documentation, and best practices.

Candidate Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Information Systems, or related fields.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in business intelligence, analytics, or related reporting roles.
• Proficient in SQL and working with relational databases.
• Experience in creating reports and dashboards using Power BI or similar visualization software.
• Familiarity with modern cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, or equivalents.
• Strong analytical reasoning, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience leveraging market, customer, competitive, or commercial insights to support decisions.
• Knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM tools.
• Familiarity with analytical programming languages like Python or R.
• Background in life sciences, healthcare, technology, or other B2B commercial contexts.
