Business Applications Manager

Role Overview

The Business Applications Manager will closely collaborate with various business units to understand their operational needs and translate these into software requirements. This role involves managing software project lifecycles, from requirement gathering through development coordination to deployment and user training.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Engage with different departments to capture their operational software needs.
• Develop straightforward Software Requirement Specifications (SRS) and Statements of Work (SOW) with input from business leaders.
• Coordinate with development teams and technology vendors to ensure projects are completed within specified deadlines.
• Perform application testing prior to deployment and document any bugs, issues, or areas for enhancement.
• Lead the rollout of new software solutions across company locations including offices, manufacturing facilities, and field operations.
• Train staff and end-users on the use of new applications to ensure effective adoption.
• Administer user accounts, including managing permissions and access control.
• Produce management information system (MIS) reports to provide insightful business data to leadership.
• Oversee software maintenance activities, upgrades, and resolve any arising issues.
• Keep thorough documentation of projects, monitor progress, timelines, and budget adherence.
• Support the discovery and implementation of technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
