Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Manager of Retail Systems, this temporary maternity leave replacement role based in Laval, QC focuses on managing, coordinating, and documenting business and operational aspects of store systems specific to convenience stores and fuel operations. The role involves collaboration with vendors, quality assurance, and operational teams to implement system enhancements and manage software releases efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as lead member in the Retail Systems team, specializing in NCR Radiant and Bulloch systems.
• Develop, test, and document business requirements collaboratively across departments.
• Participate in project planning including scoping, scheduling, and implementation phases.
• Lead definition and refinement of business requirements related to retail systems including convenience stores and fuel operations.
• Organize and facilitate workgroups to gather, analyze, and validate business processes, functional and data requirements, and business rules with stakeholders.
• Provide comprehensive support to users including training, issue resolution, system improvement recommendations, query building, and office automation guidance.
• Develop and update user manuals for current and future systems.
• Create risk assessments outlining probable event scenarios.
• Ensure all system testing, including QA and UAT, complies with departmental standards and is well documented.
• Train end users in utilizing new and existing store system technologies.
• Act as primary liaison with vendors to ensure smooth implementations of software products and system projects.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Diploma or degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least three to five years of related professional experience.
• Extensive expertise with retail systems in store settings, particularly in convenience store and fuel station environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic proficiency in programming languages.
• Ability to coordinate projects effectively.
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience developing detailed test cases and test plans.
• Capability to prioritize tasks effectively under pressure.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively within teams.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
• Familiarity with ERP systems architecture and structure.
• Bilingual fluency in advanced spoken and written French and English is essential due to regular collaboration with global teams.
