Business Analyst - MS Dynamics 365

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Business Analyst specializing in Microsoft Dynamics 365, based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This hybrid position requires onsite presence three days per week. The successful candidate will leverage 8 to 10+ years of experience in business analysis and Dynamics 365 solution delivery to collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring optimal implementation and use of Dynamics 365 modules for enhanced business performance.

Primary Responsibilities

• Engage with business units and project teams to collect, evaluate, and meticulously document business requirements.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive Business and Functional Requirements Documents to facilitate clear communication across teams.
• Convert business objectives into precise functional and technical specifications ensuring complete traceability through project phases.
• Evaluate existing business workflows, suggesting improvements via Dynamics 365 features.
• Support configuration, rollout, enhancement, and fine-tuning of Dynamics 365 solutions across Sales, Customer Service, Finance, Operations, and Marketing modules.
• Collaborate with developers and architects to design scalable, effective solutions aligning with business goals.
• Manage Agile processes including creation and upkeep of user stories, participation in sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, PI planning, and facilitating backlog refinement for Product Owners.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity in system integrations, assist in data mapping for enterprise applications, and support analytics with Power BI dashboards.
• Bridge communication between business users and technical teams via meetings, workshops, and status updates, managing expectations and aligning solutions.
• Conduct training sessions and produce user manuals and process documents to ease user adoption and change management.
• Advocate Agile and SAFe methodologies, fostering team collaboration and self-management while resolving project impediments.
• Deliver ongoing support for Dynamics 365 environments, troubleshoot issues, evaluate risks, and contribute to continuous system improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• In-depth familiarity with core Dynamics 365 modules: Sales, Customer Service, Finance, Operations, and Marketing.
• Experience in implementing and enhancing Dynamics 365 configurations.
• Strong skills in requirement elicitation, business process analysis, and solution design.
• Proficient in developing BRDs, FRDs, use cases, workflows, and user stories.
• Sound knowledge of Agile and SAFe project management frameworks.
• Capability to work with diverse business and technical groups.
• Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and facilitation expertise.
