Business Analyst I, TSE Analytics

Role overview

Amazon is seeking a Business Analyst to join the Trustworthy Shopping Experience (TSE) Operations Analytics team in Hyderabad. The role supports analytics work that helps improve operational efficiency, surface risks and trends, reduce investigation mistakes, enhance customer experience, and forecast future improvements.

What you'll do

• Work with large datasets to extract, shape, and prepare data using appropriate tools and technologies.
• Convert data into practical business insights that can be shared clearly with stakeholders around the world.
• Use analysis to support ideas, uncover trends and root causes, and present information in a simple, usable format.
• Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations from processed data.
• Partner with product owners and internal teams to understand business questions and build reports that answer them quickly and accurately.
• Manage competing priorities and work effectively in ambiguous situations.
• Contribute in a fast-moving, agile environment on high-visibility initiatives.
• Own the design, build, and maintenance of very large datasets.
• Develop datasets, reports, dashboards, metadata models, and pipeline monitoring solutions.
• Gather requirements, structure scalable data solutions, and deepen understanding of key datasets.
• Evaluate and improve query performance on large, complex datasets.
• Turn analytical findings into concrete recommendations for product or business improvement.
• Help adopt new analytics technologies and promote industry best practices.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in tax, finance, or another analytical field.
• At least 2 years of experience writing complex Excel VBA macros.
• Experience gathering requirements and using data and metrics to generate business insights.
• Hands-on experience with SQL or ETL workflows.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, or a related technical or quantitative discipline.
• Experience working with very large datasets is preferred.
• Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI platforms is preferred.
• Comfort with business ambiguity, shifting priorities, and cross-functional collaboration.
