Branch Executive - Gold Loan Sales Officer

Role Overview

The Sales Officer serves as the forefront driver of branch growth at Karur Gold Finance, focusing on expanding the customer base by acquiring new gold loan clients and fostering existing customer relationships for renewals and additional loan disbursals. This role combines branch counter duties with dynamic field activities involving local market visits, household calls, and engaging with businesses to boost brand presence and loan product uptake.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate leads through direct outreach across markets, residential zones, and commercial areas within the branch’s coverage.
• Conduct door-to-door campaigns and community engagement events to establish brand awareness and attract first-time gold loan applicants.
• Maintain a personal pipeline of prospective customers, meeting weekly lead generation targets outlined by the Branch Manager.
• Ensure prompt follow-up on telecalling team leads within one business day.
• Achieve monthly disbursement goals by planning and executing weekly sales activities in coordination with branch staff.
• Drive loan renewals and promote top-up loans to eligible clients with strong repayment history.
• Systematically cover assigned micro-market zones and participate actively in local events to maximize outreach.
• Build and nurture trust-based relationships with clients, provide thorough product education, and handle queries promptly.
• Support overdue collection efforts in collaboration with the Assistant Branch Manager, ensuring compliance with cash handling policies.
• Assist with customer KYC documentation accuracy and adhere to company policies strictly.
• Submit detailed daily and weekly reports on field activity, lead status, and disbursement results.

Candidate Profile

• Graduates from any discipline preferred, ideally B.Com or BBA; strong field experience may compensate for academic qualifications.
• 1–4 years of experience in field sales within NBFCs, gold loans, microfinance, insurance, or banking preferred; freshers may be considered for trainee positions if demonstrating strong communication and market knowledge.
• Proficient in Tamil with effective communication skills across various customer demographics.
• Mandatory ownership of a two-wheeler and valid driving license for extensive field travel.
• Comfortable using mobile technology, including lead tracking applications, WhatsApp for business communication, and basic reporting tools.

Performance Metrics

• Achievement of monthly loan disbursement targets and customer acquisition goals.
• High lead-to-disbursement conversion rates and successful renewal conversions before loan expiry.
• Referral collection and activation as a growth driver.
• Consistent completion of daily field visit plans and maintenance of impeccable documentation standards.
• Active participation in overdue collections and timely resolution of customer service issues.
