Role overview

VulnCheck is hiring a detail-focused Bookkeeper to assist the Controller with daily finance operations at a growing SaaS business. This position supports essential accounting work, including payables, receivables, and month-end close activities, while helping keep financial records accurate as the company scales. The role suits someone who values well-organized books, enjoys steady routine work, and wants room to develop within a modern finance team.

What you'll do

Help manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Contribute to monthly balance sheet reconciliation work.
Draft and record journal entries for period-end closing when needed.
Support the preparation of schedules used in financial statement reporting.
Assist during external audit processes.
Keep records, files, and backup documentation orderly and easy to access.
Identify process issues and help the Controller improve workflows.

What you'll bring

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
3 to 5 years of accounting experience, ideally with meaningful exposure to SaaS or technology companies.
A solid working knowledge of GAAP.
Hands-on experience with AP and AR processes.
Strong QuickBooks knowledge.
Experience using Ramp or similar bill payment tools.
Comfort using Excel and Google Sheets, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
Exposure to AI-assisted tools for daily work support.
Confidence learning new software and technology quickly.
Strong accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
The ability to handle a large volume of transactions carefully.
Comfort working independently in a fast-paced setting.
Cybersecurity experience is a plus.
