Role overview
VulnCheck is hiring a detail-focused Bookkeeper to assist the Controller with daily finance operations at a growing SaaS business. This position supports essential accounting work, including payables, receivables, and month-end close activities, while helping keep financial records accurate as the company scales. The role suits someone who values well-organized books, enjoys steady routine work, and wants room to develop within a modern finance team.
What you'll do
- Help manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Contribute to monthly balance sheet reconciliation work.
- Draft and record journal entries for period-end closing when needed.
- Support the preparation of schedules used in financial statement reporting.
- Assist during external audit processes.
- Keep records, files, and backup documentation orderly and easy to access.
- Identify process issues and help the Controller improve workflows.
What you'll bring
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, ideally with meaningful exposure to SaaS or technology companies.
- A solid working knowledge of GAAP.
- Hands-on experience with AP and AR processes.
- Strong QuickBooks knowledge.
- Experience using Ramp or similar bill payment tools.
- Comfort using Excel and Google Sheets, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Exposure to AI-assisted tools for daily work support.
- Confidence learning new software and technology quickly.
- Strong accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
- The ability to handle a large volume of transactions carefully.
- Comfort working independently in a fast-paced setting.
- Cybersecurity experience is a plus.
