Job description
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and driven Bid Coordinator to join our client based in Newcastle upon Tyne. This role involves planning, managing, and delivering detailed bid submissions to support the company's growth objectives. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with technical teams and business leaders to craft compelling proposals that meet client demands and uphold high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all bid portals, continuously scanning for new bidding opportunities.
- Coordinate the bid lifecycle from initial review through to final delivery.
- Lead writing and ensure consistency and accuracy in allocated content sections.
- Own assigned bids, guaranteeing adherence to deadlines and client requirements.
- Thoroughly review tender documents to evaluate compliance and client expectations.
- Edit and proofread bid submissions to generate clear and client-centric content.
- Support development of persuasive win themes, messaging, and bid strategies.
- Build productive relationships with contributors to secure timely and valuable input.
- Identify and execute improvements for bid processes, templates, and resources.
- Maintain and enhance bid libraries, trackers, and organizational information systems.
- Assist in adopting new methods and systems that raise quality and efficiency.
Experience & Knowledge
- Minimum of three years’ experience in bid or proposal roles.
- Proven track record in managing and delivering competitive tenders end-to-end.
- Experience handling complex bids with multiple contributors and disciplines.
- Knowledge of professional services, construction, property or built environment sectors is advantageous.
- Demonstrated success producing customized, high-quality client materials.
Essential Skills
- Exceptional project management and organizational abilities.
- Excellent written and spoken English with meticulous attention to grammar and clarity.
- Proficient writing and editing skills aligned with company standards.
- Advanced Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills; familiarity with InDesign is a plus.
- Ability to work autonomously and take initiative under pressure.
- Strong aptitude for crafting engaging narratives tailored to client needs.
- Careful attention to detail ensuring precision and quality.
- Effective stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capabilities.
- Skilled in juggling multiple priorities and meeting deadlines efficiently.
Compensation and Benefits
