Boxer Superstores is hiring a warm, energetic and service-driven Barista for its Head Office Café in Durban. Each drink prepared helps shape a welcoming experience for employees, visitors and business partners.

Key duties

• Prepare coffee, tea and other hot drinks to the company’s required standards.
• Serve customers in a courteous, efficient and professional manner.
• Accurately record customer orders and ensure timely service.
• Use the point-of-sale system and manage cash carefully.
• Carry out end-of-day cash reconciliations and support accurate banking.
• Monitor stock levels and help with weekly stock counts.
• Keep items fresh, properly displayed and stored correctly.
• Follow strong hygiene, cleanliness and food safety practices.
• Support food preparation and assist the café team when needed.
• Help maintain a tidy, inviting and pleasant café environment.

Minimum requirements

• Matric / Grade 12.
• At least 2 years of experience in a barista role or a similar café setting.
• Foundational skills in barista work and beverage preparation.
• Previous customer service experience.
• Experience handling cash and working as a cashier.
• Awareness of food safety, hygiene and cleaning procedures.
• Strong spoken communication skills.
