Role overview

Key duties

• Work in line with the company’s values, integrity standards, and service culture.
• Stay composed and effective during busy periods or unusual situations so the store continues to operate smoothly.
• Watch for customer and store needs by reading the environment and responding appropriately.
• Share relevant updates with the manager so the team can create the intended customer experience during each shift.
• Support onboarding and training of new team members through encouragement and constructive coaching.
• Help maintain a positive team atmosphere by noticing changes in morale or performance and communicating them to management.
• Provide excellent service by putting customers first, engaging with them, and identifying how to help.
• Follow operational procedures, including cash handling, safety, and security practices.
• Keep the work area clean, orderly, and stocked so products and resources are easy to find.
• Arrive on time and maintain consistent attendance.
• Prepare beverages, whole-bean items, and food products according to recipe and presentation standards.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation requirements for all items handled.
• Recognize and encourage team and individual achievements.

Physical expectations

• Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift
• Occasional stooping, kneeling, or crawling
• Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 40 lbs
• Occasional use of ladders, stairs, or ramps
• Frequent use of a computer, POS register, and bar equipment
• Regular wrist and spine movement, including flexing and rotation
• Constant reaching, turning, and precise work around the bar area
• Frequent listening for detailed information and responding clearly by speech
• Occasional ability to distinguish subtle differences in flavor or odor
• Clear near and far vision is required
